Amusing blurbs

You know you are a denizen of the future when you find yourself saving your coffee preferences on your coffeemakers via internet. I know one man who would consider this idea the greatest invention since man first crawled from his primordial ooze, stood up and said, “I say Mavis. I fancy a rather good cup of that swill you call coffee”

Yes ladies and gents, the Jura F90 Bean to Cup coffee machine is a miraculous futuristic coffee maker that lets you interact with it and save your drink volume, strength and temperature preferences via a touch screen selection panel or even the internet…. Yes I said the internet! Sweet holy bowls of coco pops, I can tell my coffee machine to make me a brew from the other side of the planet. Why? I don’t know why I would want to do this. All I know is…. I CAN

Now, all that is good and fine, but that also means that the $2,000 futuristic coffee maker also leaves your PC open for all the hackers in the world to tamper with according to their nerdy fancies, not to mention that it can also prompt your maker to make your coffee lousy! Security loopholes apart, the Internet-connected appliances like Jura F90 Bean to Cup coffee machine are the wave of the future, the software will  allow a remote attacker to gain access to the Windows XP system it is running on at the level of the user.’ An Internet-enabled, remote-controlled coffee-machine and XP backdoor — what more could a hacker ask for?

A cup of Tea i guess
